Sugar23 Audio is crewing up for a weekly news podcast co-produced with a major news organization. The show is a weekly deep dive into a person who is playing a major role in shaping our world. The show’s structure will be conversational.

All positions are NYC-area preferred, but we will consider exceptional candidates not in the NYC area. Please see bottom of this posting for submission instructions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Work in all areas of production, supervised by Senior Producer.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Research as directed by Senior Producer

• Assist in finding, researching, and booking high profile subjects across a variety of fields

• Pull archival material

• Coordinate recording logistics (tape synch, shipping mic, booking studio time, etc.)

• Coordinate and produce/record interviews

• Edit interviews

• Assist in building Descript project

• Fact checking

Qualifications

• 1 – 2 years podcast experience.

• Well-rounded in all areas of production.

• Proven booking experience.

• Strong management skills.

• Curious, flexible, creative and cool under pressure. Able to multi-task and fulfill a variety of roles.

$1600/week. Full time.
